Holocaust Remembrance Day @Malmö on January 27
Every year on 27 January Sweden and Malmö pays tribute to the victims of the Holocaust, the day of the extermination camp Auschwitz-Birkenau was liberated in 1945 the UN declared the day as International Day in 2005, and in Sweden there has been a national memorial since 1999. In Malmö this day is remembered through organizing lectures, dance performance and film.
Theme right to a dignified life
Live books lent in the City Library at. 13:00 to 14:30. The theme is a right to a dignified life in the Kulturhuset Mazetti starting at. 16:00 are offered including talks with author and science journalist Maja Hagerman, dance duet with dancers from Skåne dance theater and poetry readings by actor Håkan Paaske accompanied by Tobias Allvin. At the cinema Panora shown since the award-winning film, Saul’s son ( registration is required for the film).
